FRIDAY “BONUS” & PRIVATE LESSONS
“Bonus” lessons will be available on Friday mornings,for a drop-in fee of $5/class. Registration must be made in advance, and a minimum number of students is required.
Private & Semi-private lessons are also available on Fridays mornings, & afternoons.
Private Lessons: One child/instructor.
Preschool: $15 – 25 min lesson
School Age: $20 – 30 min lesson
Semi-private Lessons: 2-3 children/instructor
Preschool: $10/child – 25 min lesson
School Age: $15/child – 30 min lesson

Preschool Class Descriptions
Ages 3-6 years old, with self-toileting skills (no diapers or training pants).
Preschool 1 First-time student, no water experience. Skills include basic water exploration, blowing bubbles, bobbing, floating & kicking (with support).
Preschool 2 Some water experience necessary. Skills include bobbing, front & back glides, intro to front & back crawl (with support).
Preschool 3 Must have passed Preschool 2, or be tested by Head Instructor. Skills include: front & back crawl with breathing, unsupported swimming & floating, intro to deep water.
School Age Class Descriptions
Children who have attended First Grade, or have been tested & placed by Head Instructor.
Level 1 First-time student, no swimming experience. Skills include water entry & exit, blowing bubbles, submerging face, front & back float, intro to armstrokes & leg action on front & back.
Level 2 Some water experience necessary. Skills include bobbing, front & back glides, intro to treading water, finning & sculling on back.
Level 3 Previous water experience necessary; class is held in the middle of the pool. Skills include: jumping into deep water, treading water, rotary breathing, front & back crawl strokes, intro to elementary backstroke, into to diving.
Level 4 Must have passed Level 3. Skills include: front & back crawl, elementary backstroke, intro to breaststroke & sidestroke, diving, treading water with multiple kicks.
Level 5 Must have passed Level 4. Skills include: stroke refinement, sidestroke coordination, flip turns, surface dives, refinement of diving skills.
Level 6 Must have passed Level 5. Aspects of fitness swimming are introduced, including use of pace clock, fins, & calculating heart rate. Refinement of all strokes is included.
ADULT LESSONS
Adult lessons are available in a supportive and relaxed environment. The instructor will discuss your goals for learning to swim, or to improve your stroke, & work with you to reach those goals.
Student/Instructor ratio: 4 students to 1 instructor
Evening Adult Lessons - $20 per session
T&Th, 7-7:25pm or 7:30-7:55 pm

MHA LESSONS: Monday & Wednesday nights
Mount Hood Aquatics offers a Comprehensive 10 Level learn-to-swim program for children ages 6 & older.
Lessons are available Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 7:15-8:00 pm.
The cost is $6.00 per individual lesson, or $10.00 for two lessons per week.
Registration is held 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each lesson.
